The NPSDR will not be returning in 2027.

As we prepare to close the chapter on the Northern Pines Sled Dog Race, we find ourselves reflecting on the many miles, memories, and moments that brought this event to life. This decision comes with a full heart — one filled with gratitude, pride, and the kind of bittersweet feeling that only arrives when something so meaningful has run its course.

With deep gratitude we thank everyone who has been part of this journey — our mushers, volunteers, partners, and the Iron River community. As we close out operations, we are working to settle the last of our financial obligations.
