All entrants must agree to the following Race Waiver, Photo Release, and Dog Vaccination Policy as a condition of participation.

I hereby release and hold harmless the Iron River Area Chamber of Commerce (IRCC), Northern Pines Golf Course & Event Center (NPGC), all sponsoring organizations, volunteers, and private property owners along the sled dog trail from any and all liability for injury or damages to myself, my child, or my dog team. I assume full and sole responsibility for my own participation and/or that of my child in this event.

I am submitting this application to participate in the Northern Pines Sled Dog Race (NPSDR) and/or the Weight Pull event in Iron River, Wisconsin. I acknowledge that sled dog racing and weight pull competitions involve significant physical and mental demands, and carry inherent risks, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or even death to both driver and dogs. These risks may result from, but are not limited to:

• Actions or negligence of others, including race officials, sponsors, organizers, spectators, property owners, volunteers, and other participants
• Weather and trail conditions, whether natural or man-made
• Dog team interactions, accidents, and unforeseen obstacles on or off the course
• Travel to and from the event

I voluntarily assume all such risks related to my participation in the NPSDR and/or Weight Pull event. Furthermore, I acknowledge that the IRCC, NPSDR Committee, and NPGC are organizations that actively support and promote sled dog and weight pull events, and that their efforts directly benefit participants, including myself. In consideration of the acceptance of my application and my participation in the event, I hereby agree, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns, to the following:

(A) I waive, release, and discharge from any and all liability for death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property loss, or other claims, whether arising from negligence or otherwise, the following: NPSDR race organization, IRCC, NPGC, Town of Hughes, Bayfield County, affiliated municipalities, event sponsors, organizers, businesses, property owners, and any of their respective directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, or agents.
(B) I agree to indemnify and hold harmless all entities and individuals listed above from any and all liabilities or claims made by third parties as a result of my participation in the event.
(C) I understand that photographs or video may be taken of me during this event or related activities. I grant full permission to the race organizers, producers, sponsors, and assigns to use my image, likeness, and voice in any broadcast, publication, or promotional materials, in perpetuity and without compensation. Any legal or equitable claims arising from my participation in this event shall be governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin.

By entering the NPSDR and/or Weight Pull event, I confirm that all dogs I have entered meet the current vaccination requirements as stated in the NPSDR Race & W3PO Rules. Upon request, I will promptly provide vaccination records to the NPSDR Committee.
