Northern Pines
Sled Dog Kids FUN Mutt Run

This will be ...
... a single-dog, timed, fun Mutt Run designed especially for our mini-mushers! The event will be separated into two age groups: 4-8 years and 9-12 years, so every child competes with peers in a safe and exciting race. Each young participant races with their very own furry friend down a 75-foot straight path. Dogs should be healthy and of a reasonable size, and an adult must accompany each child to help handle their dog.
Dog sleds and pulling harnesses will be provided. A limited pool of dogs may be available for children who don’t have their own, but we strongly encourage participants to bring their own dog to ensure everyone gets a turn.
Families and spectators are encouraged to gather along the path to cheer on these junior mushers, adding to the lively, fun-filled festival atmosphere of the Northern Pines Sled Dog Race. It’s a fantastic way for kids to experience the thrill of sled dog racing while creating unforgettable memories for the whole family!
Get ready for squeals, giggles, and tails in overdrive — once these mini-mushers team up with their own furry friends. The laughter is contagious. Parents — have your cameras ready with your best friend on four paws leading the way!
