It is with a heavy heart that I share the sad news of the passing of our Iron River Chamber Director, dear Geri Dresen. Geri, together with the Iron River Chamber, was truly the driving force behind launching the Northern Pines Sled Dog race and has been a cornerstone of our organization from the very start. Her dedication and vision have shaped so much of what we do, and her commitment has left an indelible mark on our community.

Geri was one of those rare people whose selfless efforts lifted Iron River, always striving for its betterment. It’s this unwavering spirit and generosity that makes her loss especially difficult for all of us to process. We are incredibly grateful for the relationship we shared with her and the many moments we spent together as a team. Let’s all take a moment to remember Geri and the positive impact she made on our lives and our community.
