We need your help
Volunteers are the heart and paws behind the Northern Pines Sled Dog Race. Without them, we couldn’t provide the essential safety, organization, and excitement that make this event a standout experience for mushers, spectators, and dogs alike. We need fifty or more dedicated volunteers by race time to ensure the day runs smoothly—and safely.
Whether you’re a seasoned sled dog race helper or someone who simply can’t resist a wagging tail, there’s a place for you on our team. From helping on the trails to cheering on the mushers and pups, every volunteer makes a difference. So, grab your warm boots, your sense of adventure, and maybe a few dog treats—because at NPSDR, even the volunteers get to paws and enjoy the action, fetch a smile or two, and be part of the pack-tastic fun!
Ready to be a top dog? Volunteers get to unleash their energy, leash their enthusiasm, and join a fur-bulous pack that keeps the event running paw-sitively perfectly. Whether you’re helping on the trails, handing out treats, or just barking cheers for the mushers, you’ll be part of the howl-arious action. Don’t just sit in the doghouse—fetch your chance to shine, dig into the fun, and earn your spot as a paw-some hero of the Northern Pines Sled Dog Race!

… at road/trail intersections to help the mushers in crossing safely and aid them to ensure teams go in the right direction, directing parking options for visitors and helping at the race starting line.
